Copperbelt Province Permanent Secretary, Bright Nundwe has implored residents in the province to take advantage of the ongoing mobile issuance of National Registration Cards  exercise and obtain the national identity cards.

Speaking when he addressed officers selected to undertake the exercise in Ndola, Mr. Nundwe said those aged sixteen and above should ensure that they obtain NRCs during the ongoing exercise that will last for 40 days.

He said parents should ensure that their children are taken to the various centres where the exercise is being undertaken and further cautioned officers to pay attention to age.

Mr. Nundwe also implored officers to be wary of COVID-19 and always follow the prescribed guidelines to avoid the spread and contracting of the coronavirus.

He also warned against corruption among officers who may be tempted to issue the document to wrong individuals.

Provinces to be captured under the first phase include Luapula, Northern, North Western, Copperbelt and Eastern Provinces.
