GEORGIA TO OFFER SCHOLARSHIPS

The Georgian Government has expressed willingness to co-operate with Zambia in the field of education and culture through provision of scholarships and exchange programmes.
Georgian Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports First Deputy Minister, Mikeil Giorgadze said Georgia would be happy to welcome Zambian students.
Mr. Giorgadze says the education system should be internationalized and have more foreign students studying in Georgia.
The Deputy Minister made the remarks during a bilateral meeting with Zambia’s Ambassador to Georgia, Joseph Chilengi.
In response Dr Chilengi acknowledged that education is one of the fundamental factors for development and that no country can achieve sustainable economic development without substantial investment in human capital.
