GENOCIDE MEMORIAL HANDBALL TOURNEY ON

The Zambia Men’s and Women’s Handball team will in June this year take part in Genocide Memorial Handball tournament to be held in Kigali, Rwanda.

Handball Association of Zambia -HAZ- President Bwalya Banda says the teams have been handed an invitation by the Rwanda Handball Federation for the competition that will run from June 4th to 6th, 2021.

Banda told ZNBC Sports News that the invitation goes to show the strong bilateral ties between the two countries.

He said the tournament is timely as the Association is preparing its Athletes for regional and continental competitions.

Banda said the Association will use the engagement to assess players for the Africa Cup of Nations Handball Championship and the Zone Six IHF trophy games to be held this year.

He said the target of both the men and women will be to win the competition in their various categories.
