General SIMBEYE eulogised

Former Zambia Air Force Commander RONNIE SHIKAPWASHA has described the late Zambia Army Commander NOBBY SIMBEYE as a loyal and dedicated soldier who served the country with patriotism.

General SIMBEYE served as Army Commander from 1991 to 1997 and is credited for foiling the 1997 military coup which was led by Captain STEVEN LUNGU alias Captain SOLO.

Speaking in an interview with ZNBC News in Lusaka after the Church Service for the late General SIMBEYE at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, Lieutenant General SHIKAPWASHA said the former Army Commander served the nation well

Meanwhile, Former Inspector General of Police ZUNGA SIAKALIMA says he worked well with General SIMBEYE.

Mr SIAKALIMA has told ZNBC News that in 1991 during the transition from UNIP to MMD, he worked with the late General as part of service chiefs.
