GBV FAST TRACK COURTS COMING

Minister of Gender Elizabeth Phiri says her ministry is working to ensure that fast track courts for Gender Based Violence -GBV- are introduced in all districts across the country by next year.
Ms. Phiri says this will ensure that all culprits of GBV are dealt with by the law.
She has expressed optimism that GBV cases will reduce by next year owing to an overwhelming increase of victims including men reporting cases.
Ms. Phiri adds that her Ministry has also partnered with Traditional leaders in rural areas to reduce GBV cases because the traditional leaders play a vital role in ending the vice.
The minister was speaking to ZNBC news in an interview in Lusaka.
