FORM COOPERATIVES -CHIEF SANDWE

Chief Sandwe of the Nsenga people in Lusangazi District has encouraged his subjects to form cooperatives so that they are involved in the mining of minerals that the chiefdom is endowed with.
He says the cooperatives will be partnering with investors that are interested in mining various minerals in the area.
Chief Sandwe says the chiefdom is also in the process of constituting a Trust for the area.
Chief Sandwe says the Trust will be looking at the affairs of the chiefdom in as far as development is concerned.
He was speaking in an interview with ZNBC at his palace.
And Chief Sandwe said the impending electrification of his area by government under the Rural Electrification Authority will help bring development to his area.
He said REA has already finished putting up vital installations and the area is expected to have power by the end of this month.
Chief Sandwe commended government for ensuring that his area benefit from the Rural Electrification project for the first time since independence.
