Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) President, Andrew Kamanga says there is need for skilled football administrators, who will improve management of the sport.

Kamanga says FAZ will therefore not relent in capacitating administrators at national and provincial level, to ensure effective management of football.

He has observed that when football administrators understand their roles, the results will translate into improved performance by national teams and clubs.

Kamanga was speaking today in Lusaka, when he closed a two-day FIFA administrators’ orientation workshop, for elected committees from Lusaka, Southern, Western, Eastern and Central provinces.

He added that a similar orientation workshop will be conducted in Ndola on the Copperbelt, starting tomorrow for the other five provinces.

And speaking earlier, FIFA Instructor, Ashford Mamelodi expressed happiness with the level of commitment shown by Zambian football administrators to improve the way the game is managed.

Mamelodi observed that with the commitment shown by the football administrators, he is confident that Zambia’s past days of glory will return.
