FODEP Challenges PF To Disclose Its Source Of Funding For The Various Empowerment Initiatives Its Carrying

The Foundation for Democratic Process -FODEP- has challenged the ruling patriotic front government to disclose its source of funding for the various empowerment initiatives and the huge sums of money being dished out ahead of the August polls.
FODEP Executive Director George Chimembe says the ruling party revealing its sources of income will force opposition political parties to also reveal their sponsors and avoid falling prey to foreign manipulation ahead of the elections.
Mr. Chimembe in an interview argues that government is currently prioritizing programs and policy that is of interest to the ruling party as opposed to national development and the interests of the country.
He adds that it is worrying that the pf which has the power to regulate political parties finance and sources by enacting the political party’s bill is today crying foul when it should spearhead this.
