The FIFA Appeals Committee has set aside the two-year ban from all football-related activities imposed on Zambian football icon Kalusha Bwalya.

In August 2018, the adjudicatory chamber of the independent Ethics Committee found Bwalya guilty of violating article 16 (Confidentiality) and article 20 (Offering and accepting gifts and other benefits) of the FIFA Code of Ethics. He was also slapped with a CHF100,000 (US$100,000)

But the former FAZ president appealed FIFA’s decision and according to a letter sent to him, the appeal has been successful.

The 1988 African Footballer of the Year is now Free to participate in any football activity at national and international level – administrative, sports or any other.
