FDD puts Antonio Mwanza in Munali

Opposition Forum Development Democracy (FDD) Spokesperson Antonio Mwanza has been adopted as the parliamentary candidate for Munali Constituency.

And Mwanza has told Zambian Eye that time has come for the people of Munali to have their own child whom they live with in the compounds (townships) to represent them.

Mwanza who is former UNZA president said Munali has had people from prime residential areas who go to seek for votes and do nothing to address the challenges in the constituency.

“I think for me what is important is that we have a history in Munali. We have had people coming from Mayadi who ask for vote and they go back to the mayadi and do not address the issues that affect us, the local people,” Mwanza said.

Mwanza who lives in Hellen Kaunda explained that he is born bred in Munali and lives in the compound so he understands the challenges in the constituency.

He said the last 20 years people have continued to suffer as though they have no representatives to address their challenges. He said he understands the challenges and opportunities in Munali hence his decision to run for Parliament.

Mwanza cited the poor drainage system, lack of security, and empowerment for youths as some of the issues he will have to address once elected as Member of Parliament.

“I am a product of University of Zambia and everybody knows that I have lived here all my life. I am born and bred here. This is my community, it is my home and want to pay back,” he said.

Responding on how he rates himself, Mwanza said, “the people know who am and we have grassroot support movement. We have structures everywhere as FDD and am confident that the people will give me the vote to represent them in Parliament.”

On his facebook page, Mwanza appealed for prayers, advice, financial and human resource support from all his supporters.

Aluta Continua, Victorio Acete” exclaimed the FDD Spokesperson Antonio Mwanza on his facebook page
