FAZ Women’s league: Nkwazi Queens boss blames loss on defensive lapses

Nkwazi Queens Coach Patrick Mundia Lubinda described his team’s performance against National Assembly in a week 15 encounter as 50-50 but felt his team was not okay. Speaking in a post-match interview with the ZamFoot Crew after his team lost two nil to the Parliamentarians, Lubinda attributed the loss to defensive lapses and congratulated Assembly on winning.

“My team was not okay today, we went wrong in defense. The Defence was not good so we have to work on defending. There are some positives which I have taken from the team which we have to work on like defense and also working on midfielders,” Lubinda told the ZamFoot Crew.

Lubinda is not content with his current squad and he is looking forward to scout for more players.

“I am not okay with my team I have to scout other players, we need more players,” said a calm Lubinda.

Nkwazi has been a hard nut to crack at home and his side can’t afford to lose twice in a row as they welcome Green Buffaloes this weekend.

“As you know we will be playing at home so we have to perform, we cannot lose two games in a row so we have to work hard and win the game,” he said.

A goal in each half from Gloria Stacey Mwelwa and Donaria Simaundu was all that National Assembly needed to silence the police outfit 2-0 ahead of another tricky tie at home welcoming log leaders, Green Buffaloes at Chibolya Ground while The Parliamentarians will travel to Kanyama to take on Luyando Foundation in week 16 fixtures.
