FAZ SECURES FRIENDLIES FOR CHIPOLOPOLO

By Chansa Kunda- The Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- has secured two international friendly games against South Africa and Kenya for the Zambia National football team.

This is ahead of the CHAN and AFCON qualifiers.

FAZ General secretary Adrian Kashala says the Association will utilise the 5th to 14th of October FIFA window to actively engage the CHAN and AFCON bound teams.

Kashala says Zambia will play South Africa on October 11, before traveling to Kenya on the 13th, while another game will be organised on the 8th of October before the South Africa outing.

And Chipolopolo coach Milutin Sredojevic says only 15 foreign based players will be called to the national team.

Micho says of the 15, seven are European based players while 6 will be from other leagues in Africa.

He told the press in Lusaka today that only players who will be accountable to national duty will be called to the national team.

Micho said no player will be given a call up to come and parade as a tourist as he is building a team that will send a strong warning to opponents.
