FAZ fails to hear Nkana, Zesco case

FOR the fourth time now, the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) disciplinary committee has failed to hear the matter involving the abandoned Super Division Week 24 match between Zesco United and Nkana.Zesco were scheduled to appear before the committee yesterday, which is a month after the match against Nkana was abandoned following crowd trouble at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
The delay has become a talking point among some sections of the football fraternity who are pointing to the fact that FAZ moved swiftly to escalate Nkana’s punishment in the case the Kitwe side appealed against the ruling to have their one home match played behind closed doors.
But FAZ communications manager Desmond Katongo said the only reason why the disciplinary committee could not meet yesterday was that a quorum could not be formed.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
