FAZ ADVISES CLUBS

By Joy Siatubi:The Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- has advised clubs to suspend training activities or take preventive measures such as prescribing individualised sessions.This follows measures announced by President Edgar Lungu around the response to the Covid-19 threat.FAZ General Secretary Adrian Kashala says clubs should ensure they take steps to help towards combating the pandemic.Kashala says the social distancing measure prohibits regular training for clubs and that he expects members to adhere to the directive.He says the pandemic thrives in crowded places and, therefore, Football House expects that clubs will be able to take measures that will guarantee the health of players, technical staff and other stakeholders.Kashala has also encouraged players to embrace technological tools in engaging in training at individual level and ensure to keep fit.He says FAZ will advise the members once the situation allows for resumption of normal business.This is according to a statement issued to ZNBC Sport by FAZ Acting Communications Manager, Sydney Mungala.
