Farmers advised to Vaccinate their Animals

The Veterinary Association of Zambia -VAZ- has advised livestock farmers to ensure that their animals are fully vaccinated to avoid diseases such as Anthrax due of the dry spell.

VAZ President MALCOM CHIYOBA has also appealed to government to help with the vaccination of livestock to prevent diseases.

Dr CHIYOBA has advised farmers with a lot of animals to sell some and drill boreholes to ensure that the rest of the animals have enough water.

He has appealed to the government to help drill some boreholes using the Constituency Development Fund-CDF.

Dr CHIYOBA told ZNBC News that due to the dry spell animals are leaving the usual feeding and drinking areas, which might cause diseases that also affect people.
