Faith Musonda denies owning Kingsland City property

Media Personnel FAITH MUSONDA has denied allegations of acquiring a $180,000 property in LUSAKA’s Kingsland City deemed to be proceed of crime.

Ms.MUSONDA has submitted that the property in question still belongs to the seller as she allegedly had financial constraints to complete the transaction.

In the affidavit filed in the Economic and Financial Crimes Court, Ms.MUSONDA has further submitted that the property is not valued at $180,000 as estimated by the Anti-corruption Commission-ACC.

She has submitted that assertions that she bought the property are not true.

Ms. MUSONDA has claimed that the assertions are detrimentally aimed at inflating the value of her asserts.

Meanwhile Ms MUSONDA said the money she intended to channel towards the purchase of the Kingsland City property is not a proceed of crime.

She has justified that she has been running her commercial television station for 24 years.

Ms. MUSONDA has submitted that she additionally few years ago, in managerial positions served ZNBC, South Africa Broadcasting Corporation-SABC, ZAMBIA Development Agency-ZDA.

This is in a matter where Ms. MUSONDA is charged with possession of properties deemed to be proceed of crime.

The offence is contrary to Section 71 of the Proceed of Crime Act Number 19 of 2010.
