… ZCSA Wins Roland Msiska Award for Continuous Improvement and Outstanding Commitment

Lusaka, Zambia, 06/03/2024 – The Zambia Compulsory Standards Agency (ZCSA) has been honored with the prestigious Roland Msiska Award for its outstanding commitment to service excellence.
During a ceremony at the ZCSA headquarters in Lusaka, Gerald Chizinga, Executive Director, emphasized the importance of operational efficiency in line with the Agency’s strategic plan.
According to the statement posted on the ZCSA Facebook page, the award presented during the 2024 National Kaizen Conference held at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre, recognized the project “Reducing Lead Time for Final Dispatch of Results” in the Public Sector Category.
Chizinga underscored the significance of Kaizen principles in enhancing service delivery, paying tribute to the late Secretary to Cabinet, Roland Msiska, for his dedication to public sector improvement.
He reiterated ZCSA’s unwavering commitment to meeting stakeholders’ expectations.
Kasuba Kasengele, ZCSA’s Acting Inspections Manager for the Import Quality Monitoring Department, expressed gratitude for the resources allocated to conference participants.
Kasengele stressed the importance of extending support to staff members across different stations.
Similarly, Francis Mwelwa, ZCSA’s Inspections Manager for the Domestic Quality Monitoring Department, thanked Chizinga for his support in staff development.
Representing the Trendsetters Team, Michael Mulenga commended their successful presentation and highlighted the award’s role in inspiring continued dedication.
The ethos of Kaizen, advocating for incremental changes over time, remains integral to ZCSA’s ongoing pursuit of improvement.
