ESTHER BANDA WAS PATRIOTIC-VEEP

Vice President Inonge Wina has described former Gender Deputy Minister Esther Banda as a person who loved the nation and worked closely with the grassroots.

Mrs. Wina says the late Mrs. Banda who was her Deputy in the Ministry of Gender was diligent and dedicated in her duty.

She says Mrs. Banda, who once served as Chililabombwe MP, was a unifying factor in the ruling party when she served as chairperson for women’s league on the Copperbelt.

The Vice President has further called upon the family and the nation to emulate Mrs. Banda as her legacy must be upheld by those who worked with her and society at large.

Mrs. Wina has since wished the family God’s grace and guidance as they come to terms with the death of the heroine in politics, community welfare and family life.
