Zambia Under-23 coach Beston Chambeshi has named a strong squad for Wednesday afternoon 1st leg Tokyo 2020 Olympics qualifier against Malawi.

Chambeshi has named nine players from the famed class of ’17 which reached the quarter finals of the World Youth Championship in Korea.

With Prosper Chiluya with maxillo facial, Kebson Kamanga is the new entrant in the team and starts at left back.

Kamanga joins Shemmy Mayembe, Solomon ‘Capt Solo’ Sakala and Moses Nyondo in defence with Mangani Banda in goal.

The other change in the starting line up is the inclusion of Klings Kangwa at the expense of three times capped Emmanuel Banda from the French Ligue 2.

Kangwa will form a midfield triumvaret with Boyd Musonda and the mercurial Enock Mwepu.

Upfront Fashion Sakala and Patson Daka are joined by Nkana’s Harrison Chisala.

Player to Watch: Harrison Chisala – The young flames will be paying attention to the likes of Daka, Mwepu and Sakala but for the ‘Dream Team’ to come to the party, Chisala will have a big say.

While many will say the boy from Wusakile is starting because of the absence of Edward ‘Tiger’ Chilufya, it is not the case with Chambeshi who has seen the boy mature and become arguably the best young player in the land.

Zambia U23 XI: Mangani Banda; Shemmy Mayembe, Kebson Kamanga, Moses Nyondo, Solomon Sakala ; Boyd Musonda, Kingsley Kangwa, Enoch Mwepu; Fashion Sakala, Patson Daka, Harrison Chisala
