“ELIGIBILITY DEBATE IS OUT OF FEAR OF LOSING TO LUNGU”

By Wilson Mulinda- Patriotic Front -PF- Secretary General Davies Mwila says some politicians have continued debating President Edgar Lungu’s eligibility for the 2021 Presidential election because they fear losing to him.

Mr. Mwila says such people are wasting their time because President Lungu will be on the Presidential ballot in next year’s elections.

He says the PF has already settled for President Lungu as its flag carrier.

Mr. Mwila says the issue of President Lungu was resolved by the Constitutional Court and that there is no room for appeal.

He said this when he met village headmen from Dundumwezi at the PF secretariat in Lusaka today.

Mr. Mwila said while the opposition keep insulting, the PF remains a party that believes in Christianity and working for the people.

Meanwhile, PF Deputy Secretary General Mumbi Phiri said the PF will always speak against Political violence.

Mrs. Phiri further said tribal politics are long gone and that people want development and unity in the country.

And Village Headman Nsingo said the headmen in Dundumwezi have endorsed the candidature of President Lungu.

Headman Nsingo noted the need to work with the Government which has taken development to Dundumwezi.

And PF Dundumwezi Constituency Chairperson Cone Miyoba  thanked the ruling party for the developmental projects currently taking place in the area.
