Egypt’s Al-Sisi jets in for Comesa summit

President of the Arab Republic of EGYPT and Chairperson of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa Authority ABDEL FATTAH EL-SISI has arrived in the country for the COMESA Summit.

The 22nd COMESA Heads of State and Government summit is being held under the theme “Economic Integration for a Thriving COMESA Anchored on Green Investment, Value Addition and Tourism”.

The Presidential plane carrying President EL-SISI touched down at about 19:00 hours at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.

President EL-SISI was welcomed by Tourism Minister RODNEY SIKUMBA.

During the summit, President EL-SISI who is the current Chairperson of COMESA is expected to handover the Chairmanship to President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA.
