Economist Predicts Further Rise In Rate Of Inflation

Economist Noel Nkhoma has predicted a Further Rise in Inflation from the Current 11.7 % Recorded in December 2019 due to Increases in Electricity Tariffs and Fuel Pump Prices.

The Annual inflation rose to 11.7 Percent in December 2019 from 10.8 percent in November 2019.

Mr. Nkhoma tells Phoenix Business News this is a bad signal as the single digit target in the national budget has been breached and does not expect the figures to go down any time soon.

And Mr. Nkhoma Further Predicts that as the Cost of Production and Living is Expected to drastically go up with the Agriculture Sector Mostly likely to be affected.
