ECL MOURNS GENERAL CHINTU

President Edgar Lungu has described the death of Zambia Air Force -ZAF- Deputy Commander Major General Kapotwe Chintu as a big blow to the defence forces.
Major General Chintu died in India yesterday after an illness.
President Lungu who is also Commander in Chief of the defence forces says he has received the death of General Chintu with deep sorrow and regret.
The Head of State says ZAF and the entire Defence fraternity will greatly miss Major General Chintu’s loyalty to duty and his dedicated and distinguished service to the nation.
He has wished the bereaved family God’s comfort and fortitude as they go through this challenging moment.
President Lungu swore-in Major General Chintu on October 4th, 2018 as Deputy Air Commander.
General Chintu joined the Zambia Airforce on June 22nd, 1980.
This is according to a statement released to ZNBC News by State House Chief Analyst for Press and Public Relations Cecilia Mulenga.
