EAST CHIEFS HAIL EARLY INPUTS DELIVERY

By Mark Ziligone

Three Traditional Leaders in Eastern Province say the early delivery of farming inputs to farmer will address the yearly hunger situation faced by most small-scale famers in the province.

Chief Zingalume of the Chewa people says farmers have projected that the hunger situation will now be a thing of the past if Government continues on its trajectory of delivering farming inputs on time.

Chief Zingalume said this when NERIA’s Investment Limited General Manager Martin Chaikatisha called on the Chiefs at the district administration offices in Chadiza.

The Other Traditional Leaders that were present at the meeting are Chief Mwangala and Chief Mulolo both of the Chewa people in Chadiza.

And Mr. Chaikatisha said he is happy that President Edgar Lungu’s call for early distribution of farming inputs to farmers has now become a reality.

He said he is pleased that all the 14 Thousand Seven Hundred and 10 Farmers received fertilizer for the 2020-2021 farming season.

Mr. Chaikatisha said NERIA’s investment limited will endeavor to continue early distribution of fertilizer every year when ever engaged by Government.
