Nkana suffered a humiliating 4-1 loss on Wednesday afternoon at the hands of Green Eagles in probably their worst performance at Nkana Stadium in the recent past according to the ZamFoot crew records.

The Wusakile boys went into the Rescheduled fixture hoping to continue their good run following their 2-0 derby win over the weekend.Green Eagles on the other hand were looking to continue their lead at the summit of Stream B.

Nkana broke the deadlock in the 35th minute through in form Tanzanian Ramadhan Hassan Kessy. Former National Assembly forward Amity Shamende levelled the scores ten minutes.

In the second half the Kawale boys took the lead in the 54th minute before Lazarus Phiri could double the lead in the 68th minute to make it 3-1.

Amity Shamende completed his brace three minutes to time to complete a 4-1 thumping of Nkana.

OFFSIDE GOALS

Nkana had two goals cancelled for Offside. First Assistant Referee Thomas Kaela ruled out two goals for Nkana. Shadreck Malambo’s goal was ruled out because Hassan Rhamadhani obstructed Green Eagles goalkeeper Kenneth Mwaanga.

Ronald Kampamba’s goal was also ruled out for offside. The Nkana fans did not agree with the decisions and the referees failed to come out of their dress rooms for close to an hour.

The referees were marooned in their dressing room for an hour, coming out only after Police provided a vehicle to take them out of the stadium.
