Choma Green Eagles have qualified for the CAF Champions league without kicking a ball after Nkana and Buildcon played out to a goalless draw at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium this afternoon.

Eagles who lead stream B with 35 points will finish top of stream B as second placed Buildcon can now only finish with 33 points two behind Eagles current tally of 35. This means the Choma based side have qualified for the ABSA Cup and booked a place in the league play off.

Following the goalless draw in Ndola Twelve time Super league Champions, Nkana and Forest Rangers have been knocked out of the race to play the CAF Confederation Cup for the 2019/2020 season which kicks off in August.

Nkana needed to pick up maximum points to keep both them and Forest Rangers in the race but the draw means the two can only finish with a Maximum point tally of 29 which is one short of Buildcon’s current tally of 30.

Lusaka dynamos on the other hand gave themselves a life line as they managed a hard fought one nil win over Zesco United at Nkoloma Stadium.

The match was mostly dominated by Lusaka dynamos with the midfield trio of Marvin Jere, Moussa Lemisa and Petrus Tshitembi out running the Zesco United midfield.Sydney Kalume was also in tip top form protecting his defence well and running all around the pitch.

AFCON bound Zimbabwean defender Dennis Dauda scored a last minute gasp goal to secure maximum points for Lusaka dynamos who move to 30 points just one point adrift of log leaders Kabwe Warriors.

Stream A will goal to the wire on the final day with Zesco United, Kabwe Warriors, Red Arrows , Zanaco and Lusaka dynamos all with a chance to qualify for Continental football and even win the Stream.

In Stream B the battle now remains between Buildcon and High Flying Nkwazi for a place in the CAF Confederation Cup which will be decided on the final day.
