DRUNK DRIVING TOPS TRAFFIC OFFENCES

The Road Transport and Safety Agency-RTSA – says drunk driving has topped offences being committed by motorists during intensified patrols conducted across the country this festive season.
RATSA Chief Executive Officer Zindaba Soko says the Agency has now put up new strategies to curb drunk driving by mounting check points right at gates of pubs and taverns.
He says this will ensure drivers don’t get on the roads when they are drunk.
Mr. Soko was speaking in Chibombo District, when he led his officers in mounting check points.
