Dr Kambwili Survives Roan Scare; Katema, Shamenda & Simuusa Are PF Casualties

Information minister Dr Chishimba Kambwili has survived a political scare bouncing back to contest the Roan parliamentary seat ahead of youthful civic leader Nathan Chanda.

Chanda had put up a tenacious adoption campaign that would have Dr Kambwili upset to the extent of suspecting the young politician had resorted to using black magic targetted at him even when he had slipped into a conventional diabetic condition he is already being treated for.

The ruling Patriotic Front has started releasing names of individuals contesting election with the Copperbelt having some casualties while majority of the parliamentrians return to the fore.

Labour minister Fackson Shamenda, Wilbur Simuusa and Paul Katema are nowhere on the list for Copperbelt.

Apart from Dr Kambwili who is defending his Roan seat, Mwenya Musenge (Chimwemwe), Steve Chungu (Luanshya Central), Richard Musukwa (Chililabombwe), Yamfwa Mukanga (Kantanshi) are among the old faces on the PF list.

Others adopted are Joe Malanji (Kwacha), Emmanuel Mulenga (Ndola Central), Ms Kampamba Mulenga (Kalulushi), Mathews Nkuwa (Chingola), Chilombo (Nchanga), Kingfred Chisanga (Chifubu), Michael Katambo (Masaiti), Bishop Edward Chomba (Kankoyo).

Further adoptions include Mr D. Sikwesha (Chisamba), Jonas Shakafuswa (Katuba), Emmanuel Chenda (Keembe), Mr S. Mushanga (Bwacha), Tutwa Ngulube (Kabwe Central), Mr C. Siingwa (Kapiri), Mr C. Chiyalika (Ngabwe), Ms D. Mwape (Mkushi North) Hon Chisopa (Mkushi South), Hon Kosau (Serenje Central), Hon. Simbyakula (Muchinga), Mr C. Mutale (Chitambo), Mr S. Nshimbi (Nangoma), Hon Greyford Monde (Itezhi Tezhi).

Many others adopted will be revealed in the course of this week.
