DR CHANDA TOURS ZEMA

Water Development, Sanitation and Environmental Protection Minister, Jonas Chanda has urged the Zambia Environmental Management Agency -ZEMA- to seriously take up its responsibility of protecting the environment.

Dr. Chanda says he has observed that industrialisation has caused a lot of harm to the environment.

He says all laws and regulations made by the agency must be enforced to ensure the lives of  people are not endangered.

The Minister was speaking during a familiarisation tour of ZEMA offices in Lusaka.

Dr. Chanda further called on developers across the country, not to put the life of the environment at stake as they carry out economic activities.
