Zambian Super League side Green Eagles will this afternoon play against Ugandan side Proline Football Club in Rwanda’s capital Kigali in the final game of group C of the 2019 Cecafa Kagame Cup. The Zambian outfit is participating at the ongoing Cecafa Kagame Cup in Rwanda.
Green Eagles coach aggrey Chiyangi has described the match against proline as an important fixture and he is confident of making it to the Quarterfinals of the tournament.
“It’s a very important game for us especially that we are looking forward to qualifying to the Quarterfinals, we have seen how Proline is playing,” Chiyangi said.
The Kawale Boys coach has advised his players to be cautious in this afternoon’s encounter having seen the team beat Heegan FC of Somalia before losing to Rwanda’s APR.
“We will try to do what we can to advise the players on how to play against them. What is important is that we have to make sure that we push very hard and ensure that we qualify for the quarterfinals.”
Green Eagles are on three points and need a win in today’s match to advance to the knockout stages. The team had two days rest before this afternoon’s encounter and coach Chiyangi revealed that the preparations have been going well and that the team was injury free.
“Preparations have gone on well and the team is intact, we don’t have any injuries, everyone is fine and the players have recovered especially that at least we had two days in between before the next game in the group,” Chiyangi said.
