Do more research on personalities,ECL urges authors

Patricia Banda-Former president EDGAR LUNGU has called on authors to do more research on personalities in order for society to be inspired.

Mr. LUNGU says personal history is very important because it plays as a role in shaping people’s ideas.

The former head of state was speaking at the Launch of the book entitled: Conversation with memorable Personalities written by AMOS MALUPEMGA, former information Permanent Secretary and Journalist at the Post Newspaper.

Mr. LUNGU expressed happiness with the work put in by Mr. MALUPENGA.

And Infrastructure and Housing Minister CHARLES MILUPI said the media should play a role of bringing out issues that affect the living standards of people in society.

Mr. MILUPI made reference to the story written about him when he served as an independent Member of Parliament.

Meanwhile, an Economists CHIBAMBA KANYAMA has encouraged Journalists to emulate Mr. MALUPENGA who had used his skills as a writer to interview high profile personalities.

The book launch was also attended by British high Commissioner to Zambia NICHOLAS WOOLLEY and EU Ambassador JACEK JANKOWSKI.
