Race to the Super League
We had mid-week games in all the zones last week with three walk overs recorded. One in Zone Four were Yeta failed to travel and one shocking two in Zone One Were City of Lusaka failed to travel to Petauke and Lundazi failed to travel to Kafue. Information reaching us is that City of Lusaka decided not to travel as they knew even a win would not change their position on the table. Now that’s shocking with 12 games to play.
ZONE ONE
National Assembly were held to a 2-2 draw with Riflemen but still maintain the top slot though it has been cut to one point after Young Green Buffaloes managed to get three points with a 2-0 victory against Petauke United.
The two teams should now start getting worried from the push that is coming from Police College who are in a seven game winning streak and they are just three points now from the league leaders.

ZONE TWO
Nothing changed as the top two teams who were playing away from home both picked victories. Kansanshi Dynamos beat Kalulushi Modern Stars while Gomes managed a 2-0 win in another Ndola derby against Ndola United. Indeni following on third position were 2-0 winners against ZNS Luamfumu.
There was drama of teargas in Chililabombwe when Blades hosted Nchanga Rangers but the game continued and ended in a 1-1 draw with a number of people arrested after the game that included one player from Nchanga Rangers. But they have since been released.

Kabwe Youth Academy will be celebrating their win and the draw of ZAMBEEF as their closest rivals in the zone. Tazara Express picked a point against ZAMBEEF to dent that excellent run that the Chisamba team was putting up. But KYSA continues with their fine run with an away 1-0 victory against Chindwin Sentries.
Kasama Based Kateshi were well beaten in Mpulungu by Mpulungu Harbor and this is their heaviest defeat of the season. They lost 4-0.

ZONE FOUR
ZESCO Shockers are back to the summit of Zone Four after beating their rival in Young Green Eagles in Mongu with the game ending 2-1. Shockers open a two-point lead at the top and Young Green Eagles drop to second.
It was a DAT if two derbies which divided Livingstone with Maramba Stars hosting Blue Arrows while Zesco Vic Falls hosted Livingstone Pirates. Pirates beat Vic Falls 2-1 and Maramba Stars finally stopped their bad patch with a 1-0 victory at St. Raphael’s Secondary.
