DISTRIBUTION OF WINTER FERTILISER, SEED STARTS

The Ministry of Community Development has started the distribution of winter fertiliser and seed to some vulnerable but viable people.

Community Development Minister DOREEN MWAMBA says about 58 districts in wetlands are expected to benefit.

Ms. MWAMBA adds that trucks containing fertiliser have already been dispatched to Bangweulu and Chilubi Islands in Northern Province.

She was speaking when she paid a courtesy call on Chief HAMUSONDE of Monze District.

And Chief HAMUSONDE assured the Minister that he has already engaged the locals in his chiefdom to ensure they put to good use the resources they are receiving from government .

Ms. MWAMBA is in Southern Province to check on the Social Cash Transfer payments.
