Dismissed Zamtel Employees Threaten To Sue The Company

Employees at state owned telecommunication company, Zamtel in Ndola who have been declared redundant have threatened to sue the company.

It has emerged that over 80 Zamtel employees in Ndola have been pruned as the company undergoes restructuring.

The affected employees who opted to remain anonymous, in an interview with Phoenix News in Ndola feel the manner in which the redundancy programme has been handled is not transparent.

Meanwhile, National Union of Communications General Secretary, Richard Mulenga has confirmed the development saying he has received communication from Zamtel of the pending redundancy exercise.
