DIGITAL X-RAY MACHINES INSTALLED

Government has started the installation of the digital X-ray machines at all the first and second level hospitals across the country.
The X-ray machines that were procured at a cost of 20 million kwacha with the help of the Japanese government will be strategically placed in 13 different hospitals in all the ten provinces.
And speaking during the handover ceremony at Kafue general hospital today, Health Minister Chitalu Chilufya said the installation of ultra-modern high technology equipment in all hospitals is one of the components in the attainment of improved health services.
Dr. Chilufya said the machines will help medical personnel diagnose more sensitive cases in time to save patients.
He said this will decongest the University Teaching Hospital because there will be reduced referral cases.
And Japanese Ambassador to Zambia Hidenobu Sobashima said the Japanese government will continue working with the government of Zambia and the ministry of Health in the provision of quality health services to Zambians.
