Dickson Chapa anticipating a tough match in Solwezi

NAPSA Stars visit Solwezi to face Lumwana Radiants in a tricky rescheduled encounter on Wednesday at the Solwezi Independence Stadium.

Both teams are coming from wins over the weekend hence the midweek encounter promises fireworks as both sides aim to continue with the winning momentum.

Speaking ahead of the match, NAPSA Stars skipper Dickson Chapa says he is anticipating a tough match but he believes the Pensioners are ready for the match.

“I think tomorrows game won’t be an easy game especially that we are playing away from home and looking at our opponents’ last performance they won against Green Buffaloes football club here at there home ground, so it will be a bit tough but even as for us I think the team is ready and we are very much prepared for this game looking at how we played the last game we fought until the last whistle we managed to pick up maximum points so I think even here we will try to work hard and fight for maximum points,” he said in an interview from Solwezi.

“I think we are not under pressure us we just play our game and remain focused on winning our game I think we need maximum points in this game this is a reschedule game and we have to start picking up maximum points in our games in hand so that we move up on the log table, we are not in a good position on the table we are trying hard by all means so that we can start pushing up.”

NAPSA Stars have a good record against Lumwana which Chapa is hoping will continue on Wednesday as the two teams battled for three points. In the last eight meetings between the two NAPSA has managed to win six games and draw the other two matches.

“Every ball game is different, the last time we came here we lost against a different side which was Kansanshi Dynamos and this time around we are playing Lumwana Radiants and if you have seen the past games we played against Lumwana we have been having good results every time we come here we have been collecting maximum points so we will work very hard and fight in tomorrows game so that we collect maximum points,” he said.

Lumwana Radiants will host Napsa Stars in a rescheduled week 7 Super League encounter at Independence Stadium in Solwezi.
