Kansanshi Dynamos (0) v (1)Young Green Eagles

Solwezi Independence Stadium

( 14 May, 15:00)

State of play: It’s advantage Young Green Eagles going into the second leg, thanks to Adamson Mulao’s goal at Khosa Stadium in Kafue last Tuesday afternoon. The striker scored at the death of that encounter during regulation time sending the home team into a frenzy and should have put in a good claim to keep his place here.

Israel Mwanza’s side controlled the first leg and are still shocked that they left Kafue without anything.

With Young Green Eagles leading with a goal, they will feel they are favourites to progress, though Kansanshi Dynamos are far from out of it – the first goal at Solwezi Stadium could prove crucial.

Division One sports Analyst in Zone Four, Justin Zama Aongola who has watched Young Green Eagles believes its an open game for both teams and its far from being over:

“Every game is a new situation, and I don’t think the first leg win guarantee anything in the second leg. They took the Play-Offs first leg seriously as an important opportunity. They should value the opportunity of having a new possibility,” Zama said. He added that Kansanshi Dynamos had a very good run at home and he doesn’t see them faltering easily in this encounter.

He concluded: Kansanshi Dynamos have good players and I think their sponsorship is good. They may just be too good against Young Green Eagles.

Lyson J Simwanda , A Zambian football expert who watched the first leg of this encounter had the following to say after the first leg.

“Kansanshi Dynamos started well but missed the coordination upfront, It was clear they guarded the back more than wanting to get a goal upfront. People would think Young Green Eagles are favourite because they carry that first leg goal and have a lot of experience at this level . I would rather Kansanshi Dynamos go out playing the way they play and I believe sometimes they turned away from that in the first leg, which I didn’t like. I don’t think anyone will be thinking this tie is over.”

“Ekoichili bola iyi,” he concluded in Bemba.

Quite a close call and the best team on the day will win. It will also depend on the tactics that Young Green Eagles bank on to get a win here. They have different choices of playing an open game or park the bus while Kansanshi Dynamos without a doubt will push for an early goal with the support of the home fans.

It’s an electric game, possibly the best game and most important game in the lives of the 22 men who will be on the pitch for their respective games.

Kansanshi Dynamos won Zone Two to qualify for the Division One Playoff while Young Green Eagles won Zone Four to make it to this game.
