Damiano Kola haunts Zanaco as Power share spoils with Indeni

Striker Damiano Kola returned to haunt his former club Sensational Zanaco as he netted twice to hand Young Green Eagles a 2-0 win while Power Dynamos needed a second-half goal to hold Indeni.

Zanaco was looking to reduce the gap between them and log leaders Zesco United this afternoon when they made a short trip to Kafue for a brought forward week 24 fixture.

However, the former Zanaco youth product Kola had other ideas as he scored in the 6th minute and another three minutes to time to seal a sixth win of the season for Young Green Eagles.

The loss means Zanaco remains seven points adrift of log leaders Zesco United despite having played a game more than ‘Team ya Ziko’while Young Eagles move up to 12th place with 28 points.

Damiano’s elder brothers Rodger and Racha Kola are on the books for Zanaco. Rodger started the match while Racha was on the bench.

At Arthur Davies Stadium, Power Dynamos came from a goal down to force a draw against Indeni.

Midfielder Tiki Chiluba put Indeni in the lead with a brilliant header in the 16th minute while Godfrey Ngwenya scored for the hosts in the 72nd minute, heading in a Zachariah Chilongoshi freekick.

The draw means Power Dynamos move up to fourth place on the log while Indeni drops to 13th place.
