“COURTS CAN INTERPRET INTENTIONS OF LEGISLATORS”

Attorney General Likando Kalaluka says courts have a duty to interpret the intentions of the legislators where certain parts of the constitution are not clear.
Mr. Kalaluka says is important as the current constitution has some gaps referred to as Lacunas.
He was speaking in an interview with ZNBC news in Lusaka last night.
And Mr. Kalaluka says the Constitution Court interpreted the constitution well in the Presidential eligibility case before delivering their verdict.
He has described the judgement as a land mark.
