Court Case Holds GBM Off Campaign Trail
Another of Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba’s court cases has held him away from the campaign trail when he made an appearance in the Kitwe Magistrate Court.
Mwamba, popularly known as GBM, was recently named running for the opposition UPND but the party will occasionally have to live with the fact that his clashes with the law will occasionally keep him off track.
GBM was supposed to accompany party president Hakainde Hichilema but waited for his day in court today.
He is facing one count of assault after he slapped a trader at Chisokone Market, conduct likely to cause breach of peace and malicious damage to property.
GBM has come under scrutiny for his usually violent language with a record of violent behaviour denting his political credentials.
