COSAFA U-20 Women’s squad announced

The Zambia Under-20 Women National team coach Charles Haluboono has announced his final 20-member squad for the first-ever Junior COSAFA Women’s Championship to be staged in South Africa.

Haluboono has summoned quite a strong side with former U17 national team captain Lydia Mubanga leading the strikers called for duty. Midfield ace Evarine Suzeni Katongo has also made the cut.

Notable misses from the league are Nkwazi’s 16-year-old forward Towera Nkhata and Luyando Academy striker Elessy Chilandula.

Zambia has been placed in Group B with the likes of eSwatini, Botswana and Tanzania with Zambia opening its campaign against eSwatini on the 2nd of August, the final game will see the Junior Shepolopolo take on Tanzania on August 6 2019.

The Inaugural COSAFA Women’s Under-20 Championship is slated to start on the 1-11 August in Nelson Mandela Bay South Africa, 2019.
