Women Parliamentary Caucus Chairperson Nkandu Luo has condemned Choma Central Member of Parliament Cornelius Mweetwa for refusing to apologise for the disparaging remarks he issued against vice President Inonge Wina.Professor Luo says Mr. Mweetwa’s behaviour has the potential to discourage most women from taking part in politics.She said culturally, Mr. Mweetwa is supposed to respect the vice President by virtue of her age.Professor Luo said it is unfortunate that other UPND MPs did not see anything wrong with what their colleague did.She told ZNBC News in Mongu that women are the majority population in Zambia hence the need for them to be supported.Professor Luo has urged the women movement to condemn Mr Mweetwa for demeaning the vice President.
