CONTRIBUTE TO NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT- ZNS TOLD

The Zambia National Service – ZNS – has implored officers to obtain advanced qualifications that will have a direct bearing on the diversification of the country’s economy.
ZNS Chief of Finance Brigadier General Christopher Lupiya says government wants to see the military play a pivotal role in national development.
General Lupiya says the responsibilities of the service have taken a new dimension which calls for upward performances to deliver to the expectation of Zambians.
He was speaking in Lusaka during the 10th Anniversary celebrations for intake 19 of 2008.
Brigadier General Lupiya also warned officers in the habit of leaving the service before clocking the required retirement years saying government does not recoup the money spent on their training.
He said personnel who have been trained at a great cost through the national treasury must complete their full length of service.
