Consult us, CBU tells Zambian firms

THE Copperbelt University (CBU) is ready to work with stakeholders in various  economic fields to solve the current economic crisis.
CBU deputy vice-chancellor Shadreck Chama said companies wanting to shift to cost-effective means of production should look to CBU for affordable services.
“We need closer partnerships with stakeholders, I know most companies want to cut production costs in view of the low commodity prices on the international market and we are ready to offer cost-effective consultancy services,” Dr Chama said.
He was speaking during the stakeholders’ meeting which attracted representation from corporate institutions at Kitwe Campus at the weekend.
The stakeholders’ meeting started with the tour of various schools and departments among them the schools of engineering, built environment, mining, business, telecommunication and mathematics.
Dr Chama said the university was capable of analysing any material at an affordable cost and providing solutions to various production challenges.
He said with increased partnerships with various stakeholders, the economic challenges facing the country could be minimized.
