CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS RESUME IN LUAMPA,NKEYEMA

Constructions projects  that stalled in Luampa and Nkeyema districts of Western Province have resumed following the release of 60 million Kwacha by the government.
And a team of engineers from the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure Development led by Director Planning Research and Monitoring Charles Mweshi who conducted a routine check in Luampa and Nkeyema districts found contractors on site.
Luampa District Work Supervisor James Munenga says the over 15-million Kwacha infrastructure projects in the district are expected to be completed by December 30th and handed over to government.
Meanwhile, Nkeyema District Works Supervisor Richard Lungu has expressed disappointment with some local contractors in the area.
Mr Lungu says government is empowering local contractors in the country and they must ensure that they perform to the expected standards.
