2Sinyangwe tells young people

Lusaka (12-08-2020) Opposition Leadership Movement (LM) has urged the youths to take advantage of the on going mobile insurance of national registration cards to xpnfirm their citizensshos and get the voters cadres which will enable them to vote in the coming presidential and general election.
Party Secretary general Brown Sinyangwe said in an exclusive statement that the Ministry of Home Affairs should have allow stakeholders such as Political Parties, Civil Society, The Church and Others who may wish to monitor the process to do.
Sinyangwe said this has been the tradition since time immemorial in Zambia for stakeholders to monitors the issuance national documents to citizens saying this is what democracy demandsow
Now that the monitoring of the issuance of the NRCs has been outlawed, the onus is on the people themselves to counsel the youths in the age of voting to get NRCs and later acquire voters to enable them vote in the coming elections.
But the youths should not wait to be pushed by elders so that they can get their NRCs,” he added.
He said the onus is on then to take the initiative to get the NRCs and voters cards because voting is their right.
By voting Sinyangwe said the youths will that have their voice heard and  democratic principles  will be enhanced.
He said youths in Kasama’s Lukashya and Mwansabombwe where elections will place shoukd also take advantage of NRC Issuance in the district.
As the Leadership Movement, we are encouraging all eligible youths in Kasama District to obtain National Registration Cards ( NRC) in readiness to register as voters for the 2021 general election and job opportunities.”
He said even those who want NRC replacements or obtain new ones should do so because the time be counted is now.
He said the Leadership Movement was in Kasama District recent for the party mobilization short term mission where we visited both Kasama and Lukashya Constituency and was happy the way the people there was responding to the initiative.
