Power dynamos boss Kelvin Kaindu described his teams 4-2 loss at the hands of Forest Rangers as a nightmare and failed to believe his team conceded four goals in 19 minutes.
Power dynamos conceded four goals in the first 19 minutes in their MTN/FAZ Super League encounter against Forest Rangers played at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Monday and went on to lose 4-2.
” I can’t even have words for it, It’s a nightmare. You have 19 minutes, 19 minutes you concede four goals, 19 minutes. I don’t know if it has ever happened before in football. We inspired the team at half time and we scored two goals , Maybe if we had an early goal it could have been a different game all together . This is the same team that has put as on top so we stick with the players and hopefully we bounce back in the next game,” he said.
” We spoke about the approach and this is one area which I think we did not do well, The way we started, 19 minutes I think this is the first time. If we did not have good game reading there could have been a recorded cricket scoreline. The damage was done and we just had to minimise and avoid to concede more goals,” he added
Zikiru Adams opened the scores in the 7th minute after getting on a beautiful ball from Austin Muwowo to beat Lawrence Mulenga from close range. Austin Muwowo benefited from a defensive error six minutes later to finish with easy from close range.
Muwowo added a third in three minutes later as he converted from the spot following referee Maimba Katiti’s awarded of penalty as a Power defender handled Arafat’s cross. Patrick Ilongo made it four two minutes later heading home a Austin Muwowo corner.
Power dynamos made two early changes but it was not until the second half that they pulled two goals back thanks to Larry Bwalya and Jimmy Dzingai. The result took Forest to second on the log and relegated Power dynamos to 4th.
