Clean,safe drinking water a top priority-Kalusa

Water Development and Sanitation Permanent Secretary JOE KALUSA says government has prioritized access to clean and safe drinking water for all.

Mr KALUSA says with the support from different cooperating partners the Sustainable Development Goal SDG number 6 will be attained.

Mr KALUSA said this in a speech read on his behalf by Director of Water Supply and Sanitation at the Ministry, ZIZWANI PHIRI, during the launch of the upcoming 11th Zambia Water Forum and Exhibition, which will run from June 12th to 15th, 2023 in Lusaka.

And Zambia Water Forum and Exhibition -ZAWAFE -Organizing Committee Chairperson IMASIKU NYAMBE urged the media to continue setting the agenda on water and sanitation.

And, Zambezi River Authority, Water Resources Engineer CHRISPIN NAMAKANDO said partnering with Zambia Water Forum and Exhibition -ZAWAFE- will help in ensuring water security across the country.

World Wildlife Fund for Nature -WWF-Zambia Chief External Engagement and Quality Assurance Officer FUNGAI MUSANA said their partnership is to see how best nature solutions can be used in water security.
