Clatous Chama opens goal account for YANGA SC

Chipolopolo midfielder Clatous Chota Chama scored and assisted as YANGA SC thrashed Burundi side Vital’0 in a CAF Champions League encounter.

Chama set up Prince Dube for the opener before scoring the second after finding a loose ball inside the box.

The goal was Chama’s first following his switch to Mwanachi from their arch rivals Simba SC.

Clement Mzize scored a beautiful solo goal to make it 3-0 before Stephen Aziz Ki sealed the result from the penalty spot.

They will host the Burundian outfit next week in the return leg.

The convincing win places Yanga in a commanding position as they look ahead to the next round, where they are likely to face either Uganda’s SC Villa or the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia.

The Ethiopian side edged the Ugandan side 2-1 away at the Sazza Grounds in Mityana Town, Kampala.
