The Zambian midfielder scored a beautiful strike from inside the 18 yard to help Simba SC progress to the Azam Federation Cup semifinals.

Simba SC who are chasing a double after sealing their 21st Tanzania mainland Premier League title faced a tough challenge on Wednesday as they clashed with the ‘Ice Cream makers’ at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

After a slow start, Simba SC opened the lead in the 40th minute when captain John Bocco headed in a beautiful cross from Kenyan winger Francis Kahata to put Sven Vandenbroeck’s men in the lead.

Wekundu wa Msimbazi increased the lead just twelve minutes into the second half as Clatous Chota Chama received a nice pass from Shomari Kapombe on the edge of the box before unleashing a sweet strike that gave Benjamin Hauled no chance in the Azam goal.

Azam’s Zambian forward Obbie Chirwa put in a full ninety minute shift.
